Canoe Access Areas on Pine Creek - From South to North

Jersey Shore

The Jersey Shore Parking area for Canoe Access is located in Downtown Jersey Shore, Pa. The access is just below the mouth of Pine Creek and makes and easy place to take your boat out of the water. If you're lucky and have the kids along, you might catch the local fire department testing their equipment down at the river. Also, you'll find all kinds of restaurants and places to eat. There are also a few places to stay in the area after your long day on the water.

The Jersey Shore Canoe Access area has the following amenities:

  • Handicap Accessible (Not Officially Marked, but you can drive a car down since the road is paved)
  • Cell Phone Service
  • Many restaurants near by
  • The area that offers the most, since it is directly in a small town

Torbert

The Torbert Canoe Access area is tucked in behind the Whitetail Parking Area for the Pine Creek Rail Trail. The Torbert area has ample parking and is also close to the Venture Inn.

The Torbert Canoe Access area has the following amenities:

  • Handicap Accessible (Not Officially Marked, but should be easy)
  • Cell Phone Service "Barely"
  • If you're hungry, the Venture Inn is within walking distance. They serve a variety of food and also carry adult beverages. If that doesn't satisfy your craving, you can travel just a short distance into Jersey Shore.

Hamilton Bottom

The Hamilton Bottom Canoe Access Area is a few miles after you turn onto State Route 414 North from State Route 44 North. The are has a rather nice and quiet place to park and is just before the small village of Jersey Mills where I know of a great place to fish for carp.

  • Handicap Accessible (Not Officially Marked, but should be easy)
  • "No" Cell Phone Service

Ross Run
