Original Little League has been placed on the National Register of Historic Places. It is known as “The Birthplace of Little League Baseball”. Located on West Fourth Street near Historic Bowman Field, it was the “Home of the First 12 Little League Baseball World Series” from 1947 thru 1958. Park Point, which is close by, is the site where the first Little League game was played on June 6, 1939.
