Here you'll find the section of the Pine Creek Rail Trail, know as the Ansonia Parking area, that permits the riding of horses along side the trail. The horseback riding section is around 5.55 miles long and runs from the Ansonia Parking Area to the Tiadaghton Camping Area.

When you arrive at the entrance of the horseback riding area of the rail trail, you will find signs indicating the section of the trail that you are permitted to ride on.

The trail section designated for horses runs along side the biking trail portion of the rail trail. The horseback trail runs through one of the most popular areas of the trail. You will pass the trail entrance to the Turkey Path Trail that leads you Leonard Harrison State Park.
